A Bit About Me

Michaele Lockhart brings a diverse background to her writing: a passion for history, a fascination with human drama, and a love of literature. Her education combines early and secondary schools in Europe, in addition to college degrees from the University of Arizona and the University of Maryland. Embracing a variety of genres, her versatility extends from favorite periods of history to contemporary social issues. She is a retired teacher and talented nature and landscape photographer, often inserting elements of visual lyricism in her writing. In addition to her work as an author, she is a freelance editor and author advocate. As a writer of compelling fiction, her short stories and novels have encompassed historical fiction adventure to romantic magic realism to suspense. Among other qualifications, she is a registered nurse who is able to offer technical insights into the field of medicine, both present theory and practice as well as the historical past.

She is a member of the Society of Southwestern Authors, the Arizona Authors' Association., and Arizona Mystery Writers as an editor, Lockhart follows the Chicago Manual of Style, 15th/16th editions, the most generally accepted guide for consistency, correctness, and clarity in writing.
