A Bit About Me
Bill Lynam is the author of fiction, non-fiction articles, short stories and books. He is a contributor to Central Arizona Writer’s Best Short Stories and has written several children’s books for various ages as, well as, a coming-of-age travelogue.
His most recent is a historical novel set during the Civil War, entitled "Sojourn to War" —about a Canadian’s odyssey to antebellum Natchez, Mississippi and his struggles in peace and war.
"Bernie, the Flying Squirrel" is an early-readers book illustrated in full-color. Bernie crashes hurting his wing just as a contest starts with a year’s worth of acorns as the prize. Will Bernie be able to fly again? Will he be able to join the competition? Will his friends help him? Also available in a Spanish and English version as "Bernie, La Ardillita Voladora."
"Shorty, Alien Dog" is a middle-grade readers chapter book deals with a pooch from Planet Zed. Shorty comes to Planet Earth to find a solution to a problem at home. However, he becomes ensnared by federal agents and a dog catcher who try to capture him and his rocket bike.
"Lucky Foxes," by Eleanor Maroney, is a middle-grade readers chapter book. The story was written by Bill’s grandmother that was rescued, revised, and published by him. Two red foxes bedeviled by a good luck charm try to be normal sly foxes while being chased by people who want to steal their reward for helping a frog. Will they get away? Will the bad guys catch them? What will they do with their reward?
"Steampunk Mashup" is a young adult collection of Victorian adventures around the world with amazing outcomes when old and new elements mesh.
"Footloose Pilgrims: A Journal of Moped Travels in Europe" is a coming-of-age travelogue about hitch-hiking, bicycling, and mopeding in Europe with further travels to North Africa, and South and Central America.
